However, it appears that expense controls are to thank, as the net revenue and adjusted EBITDA each fell. A surprise transaction in its home market is also a likely factor.

They are described as "strategic executive promotions in enhanced leadership roles," and they see the VP of Business Development rising to the role of Chief Operating Officer while its seven-year VP of News is being elevated to the role of Chief Innovation Officer. There's also a third promotion at Morgan Murphy Media.

Today, former radio and television station licensee Schurz Communications is focused on regional broadband companies, through which cable TV services are offered. Now, it is mourning the death of its former chief executive, Franklin Dunn Schurz Jr. He passed away in Bozeman, Mont., at the age of 94.

It's a cue taken from internet services providers such as Xfinity and Spectrum, and could bring a whole new dimension to virtual MVPDs, which are now, like traditional cable television service companies, seeing subscriber roll struggles in the streaming age.
