Have REC do your station's FCC filings for you!

REC Networks can handle most applications for radio broadcast stations including:

  • Low Power FM (LPFM).
  • Full-service and Class D noncommercial educational (NCE) FM broadcast stations.
  • Full-service commercial FM broadcast stations.
  • FM translator stations.
  • FM booster stations (simple hard terrain situations or situations where another engineer has determined the proper power and antenna parameters to use).

This includes the following types of applications:

  • Minor modifications of facilities (changing station channel/frequency and/or location as well as changes in height or directional pattern at the currently authorized site).
  • New facilities that do not require a filing window (FM booster stations as well as Alaska Class D noncommercial stations).
  • License modifications for changes of existing facilities (such as the installation of a different antenna at the currently authorized site and height).
  • License applications to cover a previously granted construction permit (whether originally handled by REC or someone else).
  • Silent notifications and resumptions (the FCC must be notified if a station is completely off the air for at least 10 consecutive days).
  • Engineering special temporary authority applications (such as for needs for reduced facilities at the same or different location due to an emergency situation).
  • Assignment of license / changing or selling the license to a different entity (Note: the FCC must approve the assignment before the transaction is actually made. Due to federal statute and FCC staff handling times, please allow 45-60 days for the FCC to approve an assignment). Simple organizational structures only.
  • Transfer of control / changes in board members/officers within the same entity.  Simple organizational structures only.
  • Community of license changes for commercial and noncommercial full-service stations.
  • License renewals.
  • Administrative updates (changes in address, phone number, email address and some organizational name changes).
  • EAS National Periodic Test filings.

REC is unable to provide the following services:

  • Engineering applications for TV and AM broadcast stations.
  • Pleadings (such as Informal Objections, Petitions to Deny, Petitions for Reconsideration and responsive pleadings) on behalf of others.  This type of work should be handled by attorneys.  However, REC can work in tandem with your attorney in support of your situation.
  • State corporation and federal nonprofit related filings.
  • Tower registrations and broadcast auxiliary (STL & RPU) applications.

REC will provide services without regard to whether the applicant is secular or faith-based and regardless of any political leanings.

Of course, REC remains the home of free advice.

If you need assistance, please contact REC Networks by email at:

For FCC filings, REC's fees are transparent.  You may view them on our rate cards. Commercial stations are also subject to FCC filing fees which must be paid directly to the government.

Licensed LPFM stations can check the potential for site moves, channel changes because of interference and other LPFM issues by creating an account at myLPFM.com.

Thank you for considering REC!
