J1 Travel: Restored private railway services, added new providers

We have fixed our Twitter interface and made enhancements to remove hashtags and URLs from the Japanese results.  This restores our services for the following providers:

  • Seibu
  • Keisei
  • Keio
  • Odakyu
  • Tokyu
  • Tobu
  • Keikyu

We have also added Yurikamome and later this week, we will add Sotetsu to the Twitter interface.

We will be doing a code conversion of the Twitter interface soon.

We have added a new API interface with the Public Transportation Open Data Center, which will support the following providers:

  • Tokyo Metro
  • Toei (Subway, Toden Arakawa and Nippori-Toneri Liner)
  • Rinkai Line

The new API interface also adds in the following new providers:

  • Yokohama Municipal Subway
  • Tama Monorail
  • Tsukuba Express

We are still awaiting delay reports from the API-supported providers to test our system updates.

Will be doing additional work on both the Twitter and  API interfaces to support language translation at a future time.

These interfaces allow us to to provide Tokyo area train delay information on the following platforms:

  • Over the air on J1 HITS, J1 XTRA and J1 GOLD.
  • At the J1 Radio website.
  • On the J1 Radio mobile app.
  • Our Twitter feed @j1_travel
  • Our Mastodon feed @j1travel @LPFM.social
