REC to update CDBS application status daily, change in weekly update time

To prepare for the many steps that will be involved in Auction 83 processing as well as having the most up to date status information available for the next LPFM filing window, starting on Friday, June 8, 2012, REC Broadcast Services will update the status of all broadcast applications from the FCC's Consolidated Database System (CDBS).

On Tuesday through Friday mornings at 2AM REC Operations Time (same as MST in Arizona), 5AM EDT, REC will update the FCC's application tracking file in the our database.

This means that only the status of existing applications that were in the system as of the previous weekly data load on the previous Saturday will receive updates. Any new applications, including amendments to existing applications will not show until the Saturday morning main update.

Like with the Saturday morning update, this update will display the "system updating" message on the websites and RECPRO will not be available during the updates. The daily update will take less than one hour.

In addition, we are changing our weekly CDBS update to an earlier time on Saturday morning.

Therefore, the REC update schedule for Broadcast Services is now as follows:
Tuesday 5AM-6AM EDT: Daily application status update
Wednesday 5AM-6AM EDT: Daily application status update
Thursday 5AM-6AM EDT: Daily application status update
Friday 5AM-6AM EDT: Daily application status update
Saturday 5AM-10AM EDT: Weekly full CDBS update
(RECPRO is unavailable during those updates above)
Sunday 5AM-9AM EDT: Industry Canada update
Sunday 6PM-7PM EDT: Universal Licensing System update (ASRN, maritime callsigns)
