Fox Corporation has named an EVP of Advertising Sales and Portfolio Marketing, and she will begin reporting to FOX Advertising Sales, Marketing and Brand Partnerships President Jeff Collins on October 29.
New research released this week by TVB, conducted for the advocacy group by Dynata, shows that during Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Francine, the latter of which impacted areas of the Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana, the main information source for residents in a time of crisis — and the most trusted — is a local broadcast TV station.
The Corporation for Public Broadcasting has signed off on grant support of $2.65 million to increase and strengthen state government coverage provided by public media in seven U.S. states. The coverage generated will be shared with public media stations as well as other media organizations across the states.
It's officially still known as Gray Television on Wall Street, but otherwise it is referring to itself as Gray Media. The owner of broadcast TV stations and the Assembly Atlanta production facility has announced when it will reveal its Q3 2024 results, and host a conference call for analysts and investors to review the numbers.
Rick Kaplan and Curtis LeGeyt believe " it is critical the Commission study the impact video streaming has had on local television broadcasting." And, regulating virtual MVPDs such as YouTube TV like a MVPD such as Comcast or Charter is their suggestion.
