PPDS, the provider of Philips digital signage and interactive displays, videowalls and dvLEDs, has set its sights on showcasing its latest broadcast displays at the NAB Show. In particular, the company will demonstrate the products PPDS offers that empower TV studios and newsrooms.

Louisville Public Media (LPM) has selected its next President and Chief Executive Officer, effective May 19. Getting the role is "a seasoned and visionary leader" who LPM believes "brings deep experience in public media and a passion for civic engagement to one of the country’s most respected public media organizations."

The FCC is presently seeking proposals for realistic alternatives to the Global Positioning System (GPS), should it ever be compromised or attacked. The NAB thinks it has an answer, and at the NAB Show it will demonstrate its "Broadcast Positioning System," or BPS, with the assistance of Sinclair and UrsaNav LLC. 

U.S.-based employers announced 275,240 job cuts in March, a 60% increase from the 172,017 cuts announced one month prior. It is up 205% from the 90,309 cuts announced in the same month in 2024, which was the highest monthly total recorded last year, according to Challenger, Gray & Christmas.

With days before the start of the 2025 NAB Show, it is now known that two FCC Commissioners will be appearing at the annual conference and expo, which begins Sunday at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The Democrat will be at a North Hall session, while the Republican will appear the next morning.
