REC celebrates 31st anniversary - Launches REC EZforms and an insane introductory offer

By admin | 2:57 PM EDT, Mon July 20, 2015

On July 20, 1984, REC Networks started as California Comments, a recorded telephone service that provided "talk radio over the phone".  Over the years, REC would go on to  recording over 200 audio "output" programs for the phone lines as well as  interactive voice "chat" services.  In the late 90s, REC would start advocating for  a citizen's right to access the airwaves.  Today, REC Networks is going strong as one of the leading forces in LPFM providing advocacy, professional services and technology solutions.

On July 20, 2015, the 31st anniversary of REC, we introduce a new service called REC EZforms.  EZforms is a "semi self-service" method for LPFM permittes and licensees to request FCC form filings through more plain English menus.  Using the EZform reduces the amount of work that REC needs to do to assist clients in getting their filings thus resulting in savings being passed on to the client.

The first EZform offering will be for LPFM stations who are needing to file a Form 319 to inform the FCC that the work that was permitted by a construction permit has been completed and they are ready for the full license for that facility.

REC EZforms will guide applicants through a series of Yes/No and fill-in-the-blank questions.  This will generate a request at REC.  Once we get the request, we will check your work and send an invoice.  Once the invoice is paid, the filing is made with the FCC.

A License to Cover filing using EZforms will retail for $99.  This is compared to our "full-service" price of $150.  However, for a very limited time (7/20-7/24 2015), REC will do an anniversary special by doing License to Cover filings using EZforms for the insane low price of $31.

Current REC clients whose pricing agreement for their previous filing also includes a subsequent Form 319 license to cover filing may either contact REC the traditional (full-service) way or at their option, they may use EZforms.  Either way, there is no additonal charges as the 319 was already included.

If you have any questions or run into any issues with EZforms, use the "Contact REC Networks" link at recnet.com
