Jingle producer and promoter, Ben Freedman dead at 64

The broadcast community has lost a very interesting person..  Ben Freedman, who has been battling health issues has passed away on January 11, 2013 at the age of 64.

Freedman was well known for some very essentric methods of selling jingles and production elements to radio stations, especially to non-commercial, internet and LPFM stations that operated on tight budgets as well as strangely named products such as "Jingle University " and "The Instant Radio Station".

Freedman's original company was WAY Audio Creations which eventually turned into Creative Productions Marketing Group (CPMG) which resung PAMS jingles prior to the settlement that resulted in JAM Creative Productions owning the full rights to the PAMS material.  In addition to PAMS, Freedman also had agreements with TM to sell jingles from Pepper Tanner (later known as William B. Tanner and then Media General).

Ben Freedman arranged some PAMS Series 18 sonovox jingles for REC's previous telephone entertainment operations in the early 90s.

Ben will be missed by everyone in the jingle collecting community.
