REC-FM joins Pacifica Network

Pacifica Network programming is coming soon to REC-FM as a result of a new affiliation agreement.

REC-FM, a showcase of community radio programming for non-commercial LPFM, full-service, Part 15 and internet-only stations will soon be airing Pacifica programming in addition to programming being provided from other sources.   REC-FM is operated by Riverton Radio Project Association, a non-profit media organization founded by Michelle and Eva Bradley to provide noncommercial educational community radio to the Maryland Eastern Shore.

"The affiliation will allow REC-FM to provide a more robust lineup of programming to help stations make programming choices", says Michelle Bradley.  Pacifica programming will be added into the REC-FM schedule by late October.

REC-FM is an internet-only broadcast service that is available at recfm.org and on TuneIn.  REC-FM can also be heard on Roku through the J1 Radio Roku Channel and also heard on the J1 Radio mobile app available for Android and iPhone.  During the day (business hours), REC-FM features compelling talk programming, programming of interest to amateur radio, live programming from the FCC and occasional live programming from REC.  At other times, REC-FM features "Music For The REC Generation" playing the chart hits from 1975 to 1985.

Pacifica Network provides programming from the Pacifica stations, other Pacifica Radio affiliates and independent producers through its AudioPort platform.  Fees to affiliate with Pacifica are on a sliding scale based on a station’s resources.  If your station has been reluctant to affiliate with Pacifica due to the fees, please contact them to see what they can do.
