NAB head Curtis LeGeyt has chimed in on the FCC's call for The Walt Disney Co. to participate in an early license renewal proceeding, giving the owner of ABC Owned Stations until May 28 to comply with a Order issued on delegated authority by the Video Division Chief — two administrative levels below the full Commission.
In September 2024, Evanov Communications successfully found a buyer for a 2.5kw Class A FM serving the Ottawa-Gatineau market, stopping its previously announced death sentence. Now, the buyer of that facility is purchasing another Class A FM from Evanov — a property serving Anglophones in the Montréal market.
The debt restructuring plan Beasley Media Group announced in March is complete, with the company exchanging nearly all of its Second Lien Notes for new paper due 2027, which Beasley expects to clear the going concern opinion from auditors with its 2025 earnings.

The full Commission has stood by the dismissals of applications for low-power FM radio station construction permits filed in the FCC's 2023 LPFM filing window. That negates a plan to put a facility in Athens, Ala., and another in the Alabama city of Selma.
