This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

FFWDVN The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Eastern and Southern McDonough County in west central Illinois... * Until 1230 AM CDT. * At 637 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen since mid afternoon. Additional rainfall amounts of one half to 2 inches are probable in the warned area. Minor flooding has already been reported from trained spotters, and flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Bushnell, Industry, Prairie City, Bardolph, Adair, New Philadelphia, Pennington Point, Doddsville and Prairie City Airport. This will likely also cause the La Moine River to quickly rise, as well as other streams in the area, and flooding may occur along these.
