This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

Flash Flood Warning issued May 2 at 4:40PM CDT until May 2 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

At 440 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding across the warned area. Several roads are closed in and near Pleasanton, and multiple roads are closed in the Pleasant Hill area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Raymore, Harrisonville, Pleasant Hill, Peculiar, Adrian, Pleasanton, La Cygne, Mound City, Archie, Drexel, Linn Valley, Freeman, Hume, East Lynne, Prescott, Lake Annette, Amsterdam, Amoret, Strasburg and Foster.
