This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Illinois... Illinois River at La Salle affecting Putnam, Bureau and La Salle Counties. For the Illinois River (Upper)...including Morris, Ottawa, La Salle...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Illinois River from Starved Rock Lock and Dam downstream to confluence with Big Bureau Creek, including the La Salle gauge. * WHEN...Until Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, Lower parking lot at Starved Rock State Park is inundated east of La Salle. High water levels begin to impact shipping interests along the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 21.8 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:45 AM CDT Thursday was 23.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Sunday afternoon and continue falling to 17.8 feet Thursday, May 09. - Flood stage is 20.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
