This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

For the Navasota River...including Normangee...Major flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Navasota River near Normangee. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding begins as three channels merge into one below State Highway 21. There is widespread inundation of the flood plain in the vicinity of the gage with the river more than 1.5 miles wide. Long Trussel Road in northeast Brazos County below State Highway 21 becomes inundated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 15.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 4:00 AM CDT Thursday was 15.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.1 feet this morning. It will then rise to 20.2 feet Saturday afternoon.
