This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

The next statement will be issued this evening at 900 PM CDT. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...West Fork of The Calcasieu River at Sam Houston Jones SP. * WHEN...Until Friday morning. * IMPACTS...At 5.0 feet, Low spots on South Perkins Ferry Road have water on it. Water is over some boat docks on South Perkins Ferry Road and over boat ramps at Sam Houston Jones State Park. Extensive marshland flooding will occur upstream and downstream from the park. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:36 PM CDT Tuesday, April 30 the stage was 3.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 5.0 feet just after midnight tonight.
