This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas... Marais Des Cygnes River at La Cygne affecting Linn County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Marais Des Cygnes River at La Cygne. * WHEN...Until late Friday morning. * IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, Low lying farmland and other rural land floods. At 30.0 feet, Highway 152 floods 0.75 miles west of La Cygne. If Middle Creek is also flooding Highway 152, the only route into or out of La Cygne will be the County Road, or 4th Street, leading north from La Cygne. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 29.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning and continue falling to 12.4 feet Monday evening. - Flood stage is 25.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
