This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Illinois...Missouri... Mississippi River at St. Louis. Mississippi River at Chester. Mississippi River near Herculaneum. River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at St. Louis. * WHEN...Until early Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...At 30.0 feet, Floodwall at Lacledes Landing is closed. Also at this level, the U.S. Coast Guard may prohibit all recreational vessel traffic from just above the Chain of Rocks Canal south entry to just below the mouth of the Meramec River. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 29.2 feet. - Forecast...The river will fall to 28.8 feet this afternoon. It will then rise to flood stage Friday morning. It will fall to 29.9 feet early Friday afternoon. It will then rise to flood stage Friday evening. It will fall for the remainder of the period. - Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
