This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Nevada... Owyhee River near Mountain City affecting Elko County. .Warm temperatures will melt high mountain snowpack and increase river flows. For the Owyhee River...including Wildhorse Dam, Wildhorse, Mountain City...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Owyhee River near Mountain City. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, Moderate flooding occurs along the river channel. River embankment erosion occurs. Rodeo grounds are flooded. Low-lying hay fields and pasture flooding occurs. Businesses located along the river in Mountain City experience water seepage. Water has to be pumped from the Visitor Center. River level is nearing the level of the Boney Lane Bridge spanning the Owyhee River, and Nevada State Highway 225 between Mountain City and Owyhee. Access to Pleasant Valley is impacted. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:25 AM PDT Friday the stage was 7.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise to flood stage early this morning. It will then fall to 7.9 feet late this morning. It will rise above flood stage again late this afternoon to 8.2 feet early Monday morning. It will then fall Tuesday afternoon. It will rise to 8.7 feet Friday, April 26.
