This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

For the Lower Mississippi River...including Red River Landing... Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Red River Landing. * WHEN...Until Monday, April 29. * IMPACTS...At 48.0 feet, Access roads will be inundated and evacuation of all river islands must be complete. Protection of people and property in the river bottom land on the river side of the levees must be complete. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 47.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 46.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage Saturday morning to a crest of 48.5 feet Monday morning.
