This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

Ohio River at Tell City affecting Perry and Hancock Counties. .Heavy rain from the past several days has caused the river to rise. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Ohio River at Tell City. * WHEN...Until early Saturday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 38.0 feet, Indiana highway 66 floods between Derby and Magnet...Rome and Derby...and at Rocky Point. At 40.0 feet, Indiana highway 66 closes above Cannelton. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 39.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 30.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 2:00 PM CDT Thursday was 39.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 39.6 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage Saturday morning. - Flood stage is 38.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 38.3 feet on 01/29/2019. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
