FCCdata.org has added Amateur Radio functionality

REC's broadcast database inquiry site FCCdata.org has been expanded to now also include amateur radio license records in the USA.  Amateur radio records will be presented in a look and feel similar to the broadcast radio and television results in FCCdata.  

Inquiries can be done in several ways:

• Call sign:  In the call sign field, simply enter an amateur radio call sign instead of a broadcast call sign.  If the amateur call sign exists, you will be directed to the record.  
• By community:  In the community field, enter the city and state and select "USA-Amateur" in the drop down field.  FCCdata will display all amateur licenses that have that community as their mailing address.  The listings will be sorted to show active records first then cancelled and expired records.  
• By name:  You can enter the last name of the person you are looking for.  To narrow down the search, you can put in last name then a comma then a first initial or name (e.g. MAXIM, H).  

REC plans to update this data on a daily basis, Tuesday through Sunday.  We may eventually use this amateur data for other services. 

REC has all historical records from ULS dating back to 2000 including 1.2 million license records and 1.9 application records.  Transaction logs for applications are available from mid-2011.
