Reminder: To "clients" of/Para los "clientes" de Hispanic Christian Community Network (HCCN)

On December 2, 2013, the advocacy side of REC Networks had filed an Informal Objection against 249 LPFM applications filed during the 2013 LPFM filing window showing Antonio Cesar Guel of HCCN as the preparer. In that informal objection, REC alleges that because of similarities between all 249 applications, that there are concerns over whether the applications are for legitimate organizations.

Over the past few months, the FCC has dismissed over 100 of these applications, some of them were as a result of investigations performed by the FCC.

REC is aware that there may be a small number of organizations who used HCCN's services. As a result, we have withdrew our Informal Objection against these applicants. These withdrawals have, in the past, resulted in grants of the applications.

If an organization wishes to have the Informal Objection against their application withdrawn, your application and organization must reach the following criteria:

  • Your organization's application has not already been dismissed.
  • Your organization must have been established well before the the LPFM filing window in 2013. Your organization was not founded solely for the operation of a radio station.
  • Your application must be amended to change the educational statement (exhibit 2) from the "boilerplate" version that was on all of the HCCN/Guel applications to one that specifically describes your organization, what your organization does for the community you are in and how the station will be used to advance your organization's educational program.

REC will amend your application to reflect the new educational statement free of charge. You will need to obtain your FCC electronic filing (CDBS and FRN) passwords. You may also have another engineer or an attorney make this amendment or you can self-file.

Once your application is amended, REC will withdraw the Informal Objection.

REC will not charge for withdrawing the Informal Objection or for filing the amendment to change the educational statement. If an applicant wants any services above those necessary for withdrawing the Informal Objection, REC's normal rates apply.
