|Second MX Settlement Window is Coming!!|
The full Federal Communications Commission is in the process of reviewing the second list of MX LPFM applicants for a public notice release that can happen any day now. We can't confirm the exact states but we feel that this list will exclude the southern states (including Texas). There will be 114 MX groups. All applicants should be ready in the event that your state is called up in the second window.
For engineering assistance, please contact us at 1-844-REC-LPFM. Make sure you are ready for "rush day" as applications are handled by the FCC, first come, first served.
REC is reaching out again to potential clients of Antonio Cesar Guel and Hispanic Christian Community Network.
First of all, we would like to state that our objection to the applications that were assisted by HCCN was not related to race or religion but due to the fact that 249 applications were filed with similar information and many appeared to be from organizations that were "manufactured" just prior to the filing of the application.
REC is aware that there may be a small group of applicants who used HCCN's filing services to file their applications and may be actual legitimate ministries. REC is willing to withdraw our objections to those applicants who can demonstrate that their organization existed well prior to the 2013 LPFM filing window. To make this showing with us, please provide the following information:
As an LPFM applicant, your application belongs to you. You have the right to obtain your password credentials for the FCC's electronic filing system. You also have the right to access your own application to make changes or hire any consulting engineer or company to assist you. These are your rights.
REC encourages the use of Low Power FM Radio stations for the development of local voices in the local community that are managed locally. We welcome all organizations who plan to use LPFM in the manner it was originally intended.
Just know that the ability to do an informal objection is available to any member of the general public, it does not carry much weight at the FCC as does a Petition to Deny. Any actions you may take to respond to our offer to withdraw our objection is done at your own free will and you waive REC of any liability as a result of any actions taken or expenses incurred as a result of responding to our request.
