Generation 1 would continue to operate. Over time, it would experience problems such as lagging from the computer trying to keep up. Remember, we were still on an XT (for those newbies, that was before the 286). The system was eventually taken down and REC went back to output recordings. In late 1988, REC would come up with it's next system, Generation 2. G2 still experienced some of the problems of G1. For awhile, REC tapes would run parallel to the system.
