This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Meramec River near Sullivan. * WHEN...From this evening to Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, The main entrance gate at Onondaga Cave State Park begins flooding near this height. This may eventually force the park to use the rear entrance as the primary entrance to the park. At 13.5 feet, Cave Road begins flooding at Onondaga Cave State Park near this height. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 8.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 13.5 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
