This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

Humboldt River At Comus affecting Humboldt County. .Recent rainfall combined with ongoing high elevation snowmelt will keep river flows elevated. For the Lower Humboldt...including Palisade, Battle Mountain, Comus...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Humboldt River at Comus. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Minor to moderate lowland flooding throughout the reach. Some rural roads near the river begin to flood. Very minor flooding begins in Winnemucca with storm drain backups, and the lowest parts of town begin to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:15 AM PDT Monday the stage was 9.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 8.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early this morning and continue rising to 10.2 feet early Thursday morning.
