This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

For the Little Osage River...including Horton...Major flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Little Osage River near Horton. * WHEN...Until early Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 53.0 feet, flood waters reach the bottom portion of the I-Beam along the U.S. Highway 71 bridge at the gage site, north of Horton. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:45 AM CDT Monday the stage was 52.8 feet. - Bankfull stage is 41.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 3:45 AM CDT Monday was 52.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Thursday afternoon and continue falling to 33.1 feet early Saturday morning. - Flood stage is 41.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 53.4 feet on 07/02/2007. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
