This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

Mississippi River at Louisiana. Mississippi River at Saverton. River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Hannibal. * WHEN...From late tonight to early Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, The northern end of Southside Recreation #2 Park along Bear Creek begins flooding at this height. Gate wells are shut down to prevent the sewers from backing up. Also at this level pumps are set to standby. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:15 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 16.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage just after midnight tonight to a crest of 18.2 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
