This is a simple retrieval tool that will query the REC database for alerts that have been received through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's IPAWS All Hazards feed. This will include alerts that are intended for the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) as well as severe weather related National Weather Service alerts which currently do not go over EAS through IPAWS/CAP. Non-severe weather information (except marine weather) is also available through the NWS feed..

Grand River near Brunswick affecting Chariton and Carroll Counties. Grand River near Sumner affecting Linn, Chariton, Livingston and Carroll Counties. For the Grand River...including Chillicothe, Sumner, Brunswick... Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Grand River near Sumner. * WHEN...Until Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Bottomland 1 to 2 miles south of the gage begins to flood. At 26.0 feet, Rural land adjacent to the river is flooded. At 28.0 feet, Rural roads are under water. At 37.0 feet, State Highway 139 floods a half mile east of Sumner. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:45 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 33.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 36.1 feet early tomorrow afternoon.
